Our second-grade curriculum shines the spotlight on games that focus on increasing both speed and accuracy. We understand that, at every age there is a level of complexity that is manageable.That is why we try to tailor our typing games for elementary students to fit the different ages.

Typing Games for 2nd Graders

Our free typing games for 2nd graders have a mix of complex and simple to facilitate a smooth typing transition for your child as they grow in their typing experience. Our 2nd grade keyboarding games include Speed Typer and Frogie Typing.

Frogie Typing allows the gamer to pick their level of difficulty as well as which rows they’d like to polish on making it the closest to perfect choice for 2nd graders.

The gamer can choose from easy, medium, hard and insane levels of difficulty as well as whether they want to work on the home, top or bottom rows. Once the choice is made the game begins where the gamer is supposed to feed the frog by typing the words on the lily pads. The gamer also helps the frog jump to safety as they type the words on the next lily pad.

One of our best educational and easy typing games for 7 year olds is the Speed Typer. The game aims to test the accuracy and speed of the learner by providing several words and a specified time for which the gamer should type the words.

The complexity of this game lies in testing the hand-eye coordination of the gamer for building the gamer’s muscle memory. At the end of the game the accuracy and number of typed words is provided.
